National Trends

The vision of the National Trends and Services facet is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service. The mission is to empower chapters to effectively empower the communities in which they work.  The goals include increasing the number of sustainable and measurable programs; increasing collaborative partnerships; and extending existing initiatives to include communities identified as having the greatest need.

The National Trends and Services facet of the Brunswick (GA) Chapter worked diligently to support a Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) Fair in partnership with the Glynn County School System and other community partners.  Several HBCU’s were represented.  They provided information, support and resources to the attendees.

Presently, the National Trends and Services facet is planning a Women’s Empowerment Workshop.  Women’s Empowerment 2014 is designed to enhance the lives of women in our community.  This is a great opportunity for women to focus on educational and economic issues while participating in informational sessions and interactive workshops geared toward women’s needs and interests.
